Updates & news

6 / 17 / 10  ~ Hey, It's an UPDATE!

HEY, HEY, HEY.
You, yeah, you!
Look here! Notice me!

Okay. I hope I got your attention. :)

Well, here I am. Updating, after procrastinating for so long. I don’t have any graphics ( D: ) but I’m writing to let everyone know Paw Prints in Stone is NOT DEAD. Just a little inactive. ^^ I’ll try to update at least once a week this summer, but since I’m headed for high school, it might be very erratic. You know, life, and all that jazz. ^^

How is everyone? I hope you’re all doing great! I’m sorry for the lack of graphics, but if you guys want to see some of my drawings, I do have a DA account!
It’s right here.
Hmm. Not much else to say. But I do have another question for everyone! What do you think PPiS’s next layout should look like? I was thinking of centering it around one cat or a shipping. ^^ I’m not sure, but it’s probably going to be a dark, autumn themed design (with floral patterns! Yay! :D ) Maybe… Cinderheart? Lionblaze? I’d love to hear from everyone in the CBox or through an e-mail! ^^ To those of you keeping up with the site still, thank you so much! Please tell everyone you know I’m updating more often now. ^^

See you next time, kiddos!

2 / 14 / 10  ~ Version Nine, Renewal

Hullo, again, everyone! I’m back, and the new layout is fully functional. This would be Version Nine: Renewal. The new layout’s theme is spring, and the song “Mockingbird” by Rob Thomas. The theme also includes Jay, Holly, and Lion, which I adore. =) I don’t know what you all think, but I love it. Then again, I always say that. :) At first I wasn’t sure of how I felt towards it, but I think it turned out, altogether, really nice. Everyone else’s opinions are greatly appreciated. =D

As for all of you who wanted to affiliate, please e-mail me! I’m still getting things together from the new layout change. I’m also currently trying to make graphics, so patience is valued!

Yes, it’s still snowing. We’ve been out of school forever ¾ I’m almost positive I’ll be going to school in June. I mean, sure, some snow is nice for a little while, but not so much that school is canceled for weeks at a time. We had one day of school this week. I think I’m going to get cabin fever if I’m stuck inside my house for another minute, and I believe I’ve already had my moment of temporary insanity. I am now convinced that The Perpetual Loop of Snow does exist. It’s getting worse, too; Lily from Indompte notified me of a plane hangar collapsing from the snowfall, too. So far, though, this year’s snow has not been as bad as the ice storm of ‘08. It melted a little, but the snow is coming down once again. Still, the snow is gorgeous. :)

As most of you who have read my earlier blogs, you know I’m on Academic Team. We lost our quick recall at district, but those of us who passed the written exam went on to regionals on Saturday. Let’s see, we started off at something similar to district competition, and I received first place in the Language Arts and Arts and Humanities written assessment. We then went to district, and I place first in both categories. Yesterday, since only those of us who placed in assessments went, we were going to leave as soon as the Composition segment was over. Were. They completely screwed up the schedule, so I wound up getting home at 3PM instead of 11 or 12. We got to the school, and waited thirty minutes to take the written exams. If you’ve ever taken one of these tests, you know how long they take. If not, then you should know that each test takes fifty minutes, and I had to take two. So far, that makes about two and a half hours. We were going to leave then, but we couldn’t figure out why composition hadn’t been called, so we waited. Apparently, one of the teams was missing a comp writer, and delayed it a little. Instead of composition being held the same time as other written exams, they were going to do two quick recall matches (30 minutes each) and have a thirty minute break, then start comp. Mind you, composition takes forever, somewhere around 90 minutes. So while we were waiting for that, we went and mingled with the other schools and made new friends (o3o). We left as soon as composition was done, and left about three hours behind. Since we didn’t stay for awards, our coach called us and told me how I did. I got first place (again!) in regionals, and so now I’m going to the state composition in May! That is a huge accomplishment. I’m pretty excited about it (lol, excited about going about one-hundred miles away to sit in a room for two hours and test), and looking forward to it. I don’t know how my friends did yet, but I’m hoping they did really good, too. :) Oh, and I almost forgot. Do you remember the water conservation contest, from three or four updates back? I learned a few weeks ago I won countywide, so I’m waiting for $50 dollars in the mail. :) Whew, I really hope all this winning goes to my head, because that means a definite downfall. Heh.

Anyways, happy Valentine’s day to everyone! It’s also Chinese New Year, so have a good New Year to those of you who celebrate it. Also, it’s Rob Thomas’s birthday. :D (lol) Have a great day, everyone. See you soon!
